Knowledge of Maintenance for Printing Machine Components

Time : 2025-12-01

Print machine components serve as the "capillaries" of the equipment's operation. The importance of their maintenance and upkeep has become increasingly evident. Many printing enterprises have reported that neglecting component maintenance not only easily leads to equipment malfunctions and downtime, but also increases the cost of subsequent repairs and affects the quality of printed products.

For transmission components such as drums and gears

Lubrication maintenance is crucial. Long-term lack of lubrication or the use of poor-quality lubricants can easily lead to wear and tear of components, poor engagement, and problems such as increased vibration and noise in the equipment. In severe cases, it can even cause faults in the transmission system.Enterprises should select high-quality lubricating oil that is suitable for the model of the printing machine and the specifications of the accessories. They should regularly check the oil level and quality of the lubrication areas, and replenish or replace the lubricating oil in time. At the same time, they should regularly clean the dust and oil stains on the surface of the accessories to ensure smooth transmission. In addition, as bearings are components that operate at high speeds, they need to be particularly checked for their operating conditions. If there are abnormal sounds or overheating, faults should be promptly identified to avoid damage to the bearings and equipment shutdown.

For the rubber rollers, they are the key components that transfer the ink

Long-term use may lead to problems such as wear, aging, and dirtiness, which directly affect the uniformity of ink transfer. Professional technicians suggest that daily cleaning with a dedicated cleaner is necessary to wipe the surface of the rubber roller, remove residual ink and impurities, and avoid using sharp tools for scraping; at the same time, control the temperature and humidity in the workshop to prevent the rubber roller from hardening or deforming due to environmental changes, and regularly check the pressure of the rubber roller to avoid excessive squeezing that may cause damage.

Maintenance of the electrical components of the printing machine

These components directly affect the automation operation accuracy and operational safety of the equipment, covering core elements such as sensors, contactors, relays, and line interfaces. Among them, sensors act as the "perceiving organs" of the equipment, responsible for functions such as positioning, counting, and pressure detection. They are exposed to ink dust in the printing workshop for a long time and are prone to problems like probe blockage and signal drift. Technicians need to regularly wipe the sensor probes with dry and clean soft cloths to avoid using corrosive cleaning agents. At the same time, they should check whether the fixing bolts of the sensors are loose and whether the line connections are firm to ensure stable signal transmission. Contactors and relays, as electrical control components, have contacts that may be burned out or oxidized due to long-term power-on, resulting in poor contact. They need to be opened regularly to clean the internal dust and check the contact status. Severely oxidized contacts should be promptly ground or replaced. At the same time, check whether the line connections are loose or aged. If necessary, replace the aged lines. In addition, the cooling system of the electrical cabinet also needs to be maintained carefully to ensure that the cooling fans are operating normally and to avoid electrical component overheating and damage due to excessively high cabinet temperatures. Daily maintenance requires regular cleaning of the dust on the fan filters to ensure smooth heat dissipation.
